THE WEAPONIZATION OF SCIENCE

The original purpose of science was the search for truth. It was a noble goal. The scientist sought to put aside prejudices and superstitions and seek verifiable facts. They sought to compile accurate and impartial knowledge in all scientific disciplines.

Great scientists like Nicola Tesla were not out to monopolize knowledge. Using equipment we would today consider primitive, Tesla was able to discover and demonstrate properties of electricity that remain secret to this day. All he had was an electric generator and a primitive tuned circuit consisting of a coil and capacitor set to resonate at 400 Hz. With this, he demonstrated that electricity could be obtained for free as well as some other amazing properties like accessing other dimensions with the correct frequency and doing experiments in time. He wanted to give all this away for free to benefit humanity. He died in poverty. The government confiscated everything he had developed.

As time passed, it was noticed that knowledge was power and that, if you had knowledge others did not have, you could use this fact to your advantage. Governments noticed this quite early in the game and designed various knowledge control systems. Knowledge was no longer freely available. The beauty of science transitioned into the power of science. Today people simply accept the "new normal" that they do not have the right to freely possess knowledge. You have to have a need to know the truth. You have to have permission from the government in the form of a security clearance to possess the truth and you have to promise never to tell the truth to anyone else. Why people simply accept that the government now owns the truth is not exactly clear. You would think someone would object. However the people -

or sheeple - just submit and accept it.

Now that knowledge is a guarded commodity like, say, gold or silver, previously unknown concepts like

"intellectual property" have sprung into existence. Private corporations, which often behave like nation-states, are allowed to declare knowledge they possess "secret" and hunt down anyone who tries to find out their secrets.

Today essentially all sciences have become weaponized. Knowledge is no longer used to benefit humanity but, rather, to take advantage of the innocence of humanity and wage war against others.

Anthropology - basically the study of humankind - seems pretty innocuous. In his book, "Weaponizing Anthropology", author David Price explains how the US government seeks to recruit Anthropoligists to obtain basic knowledge of other cultures so that it can use that knowledge to destroy those cultures.

Clearly, this was not the original intent of the science. However, it is now.

Weaponized medical science creates threats to humanity that dwarf all the hype about nuclear bombs.

Knowledge of genetics has opened the door to abuses that could alter all life in ways that are not completely predictable and are non reversible. We already have the Frankenstein plants and some animals. The permanent alteration of the human race is likely not far behind. The only temporary reprieve humanity has is that the total genetic encoding process is not yet completely understood.
